CINECINA FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SHORT FILM AWARDS WINNERS
April 5, 2019 (New York, NY) – The Short Film Awards committee of CineCina Film Festival is pleased to announce winners of CCFF Short Film Awards.
Short Film Awards is an important part of CineCina Film Festival. Through the selection, it discovered the most pioneering and artistic Chinese short films. Through the university tours and big screen displays, these short films radiated culture around New York and spread the discourse and new voices of Chinese films in various cultural regions.
The committee of Short Film Awards received over 100 short films with various genres in the past few months. After several rounds of screening, 7 short films were selected by 8 professional juries consist of Richard Peña, MEI Feng, Feng-Mei Heberer, Li Yang, YE Hang, SONG Pengfei, Tony Lin and ZHANG Dalei.

Best Animation/Experimental Short: Eyes by Naixin Xu
Her Perspective Award: All That Glitters by Lincheng “Timon” Yang
Special Jury Award: Big Fish by Alex Hsu
Best Documentary Short: The Idyll by Yiyang Huang
Diversity Award: Lucky Day by Kaoyuan Hsia and The Yin Yang San by Tong Liu
Innovation Award: Eisa, Hlin and Darling Blue by Sicong Tian
Audience Choice Award: Eisa, Hlin and Darling Blue by Sicong Tian
CCFF will display 4 award-winning short films—Lucky Day, The Yin Yang San, All that Glitters and Big Fish in April 17th, Symphony Space.

CineCina Film Festival (CCFF) is the only New York-based film festival dedicated to promoting excellent Chinese films. Founded in 2018, it was conceived by a group of young film scholars and filmmakers active in New York.
CCFF aims to bring the best Chinese films to New York. Starting from the exhibition of wonderful Chinese films, the committee of CineCina is committed to making CCFF a platform for the export of Chinese culture, and increasing opportunities for the development and distribution of Chinese films in North America. Meanwhile, CineCina is going to put the rapid development of Chinese film under more diversified exposure, and extends the influence of Chinese cultural industry in North America.
At the same time, CineCina devotes to becoming the cradle of the development of the new forces of Chinese youth film. Through exploring young filmmakers and supporting the development of potential new films, it established a platform for young Chinese directors to display their works.
The inaugural CineCina Film Festival will take place April 5-19, 2019.
