CineCina proudly announces the second CineCina Film Festival (CCFF), the renowned New York-based film festival dedicated to promoting excellent international films, will open in Manhattan, from October 25 to November 3, 2019.

This fall, CineCina Film Festival expands its scope to showcase some of the latest films from countries whose national cinema was historically under-appreciated by mainstream American audiences. 10 films will be included in Main Slate and 5 films will be screened to form a Special Screening section. Main Slate films are juried by a panel of 5 renowned filmmakers, scholars, and critics around the world.

About CineCina Film Festival (CCFF)

CineCina Film Festival (CCFF) is the only New York-based film festival dedicated to promoting excellent Chinese films. Founded in 2018, it was conceived by a group of young film scholars and filmmakers active in New York.

CCFF aims to bring the best international films to New York. Starting from the exhibition of wonderful Chinese films, the committee of CineCina is committed to making CCFF a platform for the export of Chinese culture, and increasing opportunities for the development and distribution of Chinese films in North America. Meanwhile, CineCina is going to expose the rapid development of Chinese film to more audiences, and enlarge the influence of Chinese cultural industry in North America.

At the same time, CineCina is devoted to becoming the entry point in the development of many a young filmmaker. Through exploring young filmmakers and supporting the development of potential new films, it established a platform for young Chinese directors to display their works.

CineCina Film Festival will open from October 25, 2019 to November 3, 2019.
